Overview
Harris Orthodontics is 1,707-square-foot custom commercial space located in Saratoga, Utah. Designed by Shadd Johnson Design for Dr. Harris and his Staff, the office features five spacious exam chairs and one bathroom. The design emphasizes open-concept for his clients.
Project Goals
Client-Centric Design: Accommodate a large number of clients with Five exam chairs.
Room Spaces: Maximize every inch of this office space from left to right even on the second floor
Entertaining Spaces: Create open areas suitable for hosting more patients.
Functional Aesthetics: Integrate design elements that are both practical and visually appealing.
Design and Implementation
Main Floor:
Office: Front office and Dr. Harris space.
Exam area:
Space for 5 chairs for dental work.
Separate consultation room for privacy.

Dr. Harris provides an arcade area for those that are not there to see him, i.e. siblings.

Materials and Finishes:
Interior:
Emphasis on hard surfaces to make it for cleanup.
Use of LVP flooring for easy cleaning and stylish look.
Challenges
- Ensuring Spaciousness:
- Careful planning of room sizes and layouts to prevent any area, especially the bathrooms, from feeling cramped.
- Integrating Design Elements:
- We were given the challenge to create a second floor within the space, we showed up and did just that.
